Nevertheless, we have found that an additional 27% of the left-sided AP in the anterograde direction, and 29% in the retrograde direction had minimal decremental conduction of less than 30 ms [12]. Therefore, our electrophysiological studies revealed that it is not uncommon to observe minimal decremental conduction over left-sided AP, and stress that care should be taken in the evaluation of conduction over these connections.

Radiofrequency catheter ablation in the treatment of Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome
Introduction: Tachyarrhythmias in Wolf Parkinson White (WPW) syndrome, can be a life threatening factor. Antiarrhythmic drug therapy in this syndrome, has not been completely acceptable. Efficacy, safety and economy of Radio Frequency Catheter Ablation (RFCA) in western studies, has made it as the treatment of choice. In the present study, efficacy of RFCA in the ablation of accessory pathway...

OBJECTIVES This study was designed to prospectively evaluate the effects of radiofrequency ablation in Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome by scintigraphic analysis. BACKGROUND The functional changes triggered by radiofrequency current ablation of atrioventricular accessory pathways are not fully known. METHODS Forty-four patients with WPW syndrome were consecutively investigated before an...
متن کاملTuberous sclerosis complex and Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.
This report highlights the association between tuberous sclerosis and Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. Ten patients with concurrent diagnoses of Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome and tuberous sclerosis were identified. Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome presented early in life, nine cases being diagnosed in the first year. Eight of the 10 cases were male. In eight cases, the syndrome was associated wit...
متن کاملSingle-catheter approach to radiofrequency current ablation of left-sided accessory pathways in patients with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.
BACKGROUND Catheter ablation with the use of radiofrequency current has been introduced as a therapeutic option for patients with tachyarrhythmias mediated by an accessory atrioventricular pathway. The technique conventionally implies the introduction of several catheters into the heart for assessment of electrophysiological parameters as well as for localization of the accessory pathway and ma...
